LTI Pro for Schoology - LTI 1.1


This article provides specific instructions for configuring Zoom’s LTI Pro with Schoology.

Note: Please ensure that LTI Pro has been installed and you are signed in to configure LTI Pro.

Configuring LTI Pro on Schoology

  1. Go to the LTI Pro application and Sign In and then click Manage and then Configure.
    1. Click + Create a new credential
    2. Choose LTI 1.1 and enter name of LTI
    3. After creating a new LTI credential, you will see an LTI 1.1 credential and configuration page which will have the LTI URL, LTI Key and LTI Secret which will be needed for configuring the LTI in the LMS.
  2. Login to Schoology as a System Admin.
  3. Click Tools then School Management


  4. Click Integration


  5. Click the External Tools tab at the top of the page
  6. Click Add External Tool Provider
  7. Fill out the nexessary information in the pop-up window as follows:
    • Tool name: Zoom (or anything else you would like to name the tool)
    • Consumer Key: Paste the LTI Key from Step 1
    • Shared Secret: Paste the LTI Secret from Step 1
    • Privacy: Select Send Name and Email/Username of user who launches
    • Configuration Type: select Manual
    • Match by: Select URL
    • Domain/URL: Paste the LTI URL from Step 1


  8. Click Submit

Installing Zoom LTI Pro in a Course

  1. Login to Schoology as a course Admin and navigate to the course where you would like to add Zoom.
  2. Click Materials on the left menu in the course
  3. Click Add Materials
  4. Click Add File/Link/External Tool
  5. Choose External Tool
    • Tool Provider: Select Zoom (or what you entered for Tool Name in Step 7 above)
    • Title: Zoom (or whatever else you would like the tool to appear as in the course)
  6. Click Submit

After clicking Submit, you should see something similar to the following:


To use LTI Pro in the course, click Zoom and you should see something similar to the following:


Instructors can now schedule and start Zoom meetings from within a Schoology course.
